£1,500 - £2,500
An Art Deco Emerald Ruby and Diamond Plaque Ring,
circa 1930, the stepped geometric plaque millegrain set with oval mixed-cut emerald, flanked by old European-cut diamonds and surrounded by single-cut diamonds with calibre-cut rubies, the diamonds totalling approximately 1.75 carats, unmarked mount tests as 14ct white gold, size O, 4.8g
The emerald is a vivid green with typical internal inclusions and a few minor facet edge abrasions. The rubies are well matched, one has been re-glued. The diamonds are very bright and lively, one principal diamond has a small chip beneath a claw, both principal diamonds have very minor signs of glue around edge. The mount has general wear commensurate with age and use. Overall in good condition.
