19th century Indian steel ankus or elephant goad, pierced and engraved blade with bronze finial in the form of a mythical beast, length 39cm
Good bright condition, handle generally tarnished but no damage or repairs. Bronze lion terminal appears to be later addition as the ankus would have been the tip of a longer spear, otherwise no damage or repair, only general surface wear
