Chinese watercolour/ink on silk laid on card, festival scene with extensive text inscriptions, 90cm x 53cm, unframed
Several damp stains on the bottom edge, even discolouration and a few surface abrasions. On close examination, this is certainly a watercolour and ink drawing and not a print. It is painted on silk which has been laid down onto a card. There is an area of damage across the bottom section of the picture where there is a hole in the silk near bottom centre, water staining and an area in bottom left-hand corner where the silk is lifting from the background, also general very slight discolouration but image is bright and the bottom edge could easily be slightly trimmed to remove the area of damage, unfortunately no provenance with this work which was brought in with a consignment of English watercolours
