A fine quality William IV silver snuffbox, rectangular form with high relief scene depicting horse rider and wolves, with cast foliate edges, ribbed border, engine turned base and gilt interior, with Tessiers Ltd label inside, by Edward Smith, hallmarks Birmingham 1836, 9cm x 6cm, 6.1oz
No damage or repair, box is heavy gauge with only some wear to extreme high points, generally light abrasions and a couple of tiny edge and corner dents, hinge working perfectly and lid closes flush with body, gilding still very bright, hallmarks clear
