A Continental gilded porcelain posy holder, in the form of Eros holding a shell, having a stopper formed as a quiver of arrows, hand painted frieze below the figure raised on a gilded ormolu base, no factory marks, height 19cm
Base has a hairline crack running through the entire diameter and up into scrolled seat, glue evident around inside base joining to ormolu base, 1 wing has an overpainted chip, quiver stopper has a rim chip, and arrow flight has been broken and re-glued otherwise only very minor rubbing to gilding
