£3,400
An Antique Champagne Diamond and Diamond Cluster Ring,
set with one central cushion cut Champagne diamond, measuring approximately 2.25 carats, surrounded by fourteen old mine cut diamonds, the surrounding diamonds totalling approximately 0.65 carats, unmarked mount tests as 18ct yellow gold and platinum, size R, 4.3g
The principal diamond is very bright and lively with a greenish-yellow tint, the girdle has a few naturals and tiny edge nicks only visible through a loupe, internally the diamond has 3 crystal inclusions (only the largest can be seen without a loupe although it is directly beside a claw and not immediately obvious). The surrounding diamonds are also very bright and lively with only one having a surface chip. The mount has general wear, particularly the shank which has been repaired and replaced but now quite stable. Overall in good condition, with the diamonds being the main show.
