£1,000 - £1,500
A fine quality French walnut and marquetry inlaid vitrine cabinet, circa 1900, the marble top having a pierced brass gallery, central frieze drawer with inlaid floral marquetry frieze, central glazed panelled door flanked by bow-glass end panels, allover ormolu mouldings and mounts, width 96cm, depth 36cm, height 99cm
Good original condition with very minor age-related flaws and blemishes, all ormolu mounts present and in good condition
There are no signs of woodworm on this piece. There is one small chip to the rear left of the marble top and a corner crack on the rear right. Otherwise there are only natural flaws. A small section of the brass inlay is missing (Pineapple) to the left side of the door below the lock. All four feet appear to have been removed/broken at some point and repaired with a few small veneer flakes still apparent. Overall still in very good condition.
