A monumental Burmese silver Thabeik bowl, circular form, with highly detailed high relief embossed and chased scenes with figures, separated by columns composed of kneeling figure holding Hindu Goddess Durga riding a lion, the top band with portraits of Indian noble figures, the bottom band with embossed snake fighting mongoose, the base with maker's mark depicting peacock in display, rim diameter 24cm, overall diameter approx 40cm, height 25cm, 93.7oz

Numerous small splits and holes in high points of decoration, all visible from inside, 1 small dent on edge of base and 1 lion face slightly pushed inwards, otherwise no damage, decoration still very crisp, light wear to high points
