A fine and large Georgian mourning pendant, circular form with unmarked yellow metal frame, the front having a circular aperture of hair, embellished with seed pearls script "Ruth Stoney, died September 19th 1810" with yellow metal border, further woven hair border, and reverse black green white painted and gilded glass edge under bevel-edge convex glass, the reverse under faceted edge convex glass reverse painted in black and gilt with mourning poem, diameter 53.2mm, 38.8g
Some of the woven hair border is starting to unweave in places, the glass on the reverse has one small chip along bottom edge and there are a few blemishes to the painted poem along with some of the gilding around the edge having chips, glass panels and settings are lightly abraded all over, unmarked
