A 19th century papier mache travelling writing/jewellery box, with lid opening to reveal a red velvet fitted interior, with 2 drawers under opening to show 4 short drawers, the bottom drawer fitted with a fold-out writing slope, with allover gilded floral painted decoration and mother-of-pearl panels, W28cm, H28cm, overall depth 27cm

Cabinet has signs of previous restoration, particularly the feet, there is some cracking through the shaped plinth, also some cracking and splits to the hinged lid, some loss to the mother-of-pearl all clearly visible, doors are warped and wear related to age and use
Unfortunately this is not able to be posted in house
