A George II silver snuffbox, plain rectangular form with engine turned decoration and cast floral thumb-piece with reeded side panels and gilded interior, by Thomas Edwards, hallmarks London 1820, 8 x 4.5cm, 2.7oz
Quite worn all over, lid has one 0.5cm hole near the hinge, otherwise no damage or repair, gilding still bright, hinge working and lid closes flush with body, cartouche engraved with foliate decoration, hallmarks clear.
