A 19th century 15ct gold ruby split-pearl and diamond ring, set with central rose-cut diamond within split-pearl floral surround shouldered by old-cut rubies, with closed back settings, hallmarks Chester 1882, setting height 8.4mm, size U, 1.8g
Good overall condition, all stones present, diamond has edge chips and abrasions only visible through a loupe, there is glue around all pearls and 1 is slightly more raised that the others so potentially a replacement, rubies have table facet edge abrasions but are a nice pinkish red hue, settings lightly abraded all over and quite worn around the band so is wearing thin, hallmarks are clear, stamped 15
