A George III silver argyle, cylindrical form with reeded rim and relief embossed foliate decoration with pineapple finial and turned wood handle, no liner, by Aaron Lestourgeon, indistinct hallmarks, height 11cm, 6.9oz
Argyle is worn all over and mainly on high points of decoration with a few small dents and a slightly bent edge on lid rim, there is no hot water liner and there seem to have been a few other amendments such as a repaired top part of handle where it meets the body and also a small area of solder around the top rim, there are two splits starting to occur around the top rim and the spout has a solder repair at the base along with a couple of small dents to the spout end, hallmarks very rubbed.
