A rare Irish George IV silver coffee biggin, tapered cylindrical form with half fluted decoration and cast shell rim, with strainer/plunger insert, turned wood mounts and engraved armorial crest "Per Crucem Ad Coronam, Vincit Veritas" (Through the cross to the light, truth prevails), by William Nolan, hallmarks Dublin 1825, overall height with insert 29cm, 39.8oz gross
Biggin insert is lacking plunger and bottom edge has 1 small dent, pot has general wear allover, both sides have engraved crest, hallmarks clear and matching
