A 19th century Indian Dhal shield of convex form, with painted decoration and studded with 4 large bronze bosses, diameter 46cm
There are areas with loss of the leather covering to both sides of the shield, the inside of the shield is red and gilded where the handle sits, the handle has been repaired and still has some damage, generally quite worn all over
