A First World War Period Navy Officer's dress sword, by Matthews of Portsmouth, with etched blade, shagreen-mounted hilt and original brass-mounted leather scabbard

The blade is heavily oiled but shows some signs of black staining otherwise in good condition. 3/4 of blade is etched. Handle, hilt, guard and scabbard are in good condition.
