Description amendment - Portrait thought to be of of W H Auden (1907 - 1973), by Rene Robert Quinn (died 1934), oil on canvas, 1927, 62cm x 51cm, framed.
Canvas has been lined, good clean condition, frame also in good condition. Provenance: this painting was purchased by the vendor around 20 years ago from an art fair where it was labelled as a portrait of WH Auden. We have been informed that this is probably not correct, and so we are selling it with the amended description
