A George IV silver snuffbox, rounded rectangular form with ribbed and engine turned decoration and cast floral rim with gilt interior, by Edward Smith, hallmarks Birmingham 1826, 9.5cm x 3.5cm, 2.7oz
No damage or repair, cartouche has engraved initials, decoration slightly worn mostly on high points and edges with light abrasions all over, base edges have a few light dents, hinge working perfectly and lid closes flush with body, gilding still bright, hallmarks are quite rubbed
