FRATELLI BROTHERS FOR THONET - a late 19th century bentwood model IV rocking chair, model number IV with cane panelled back, seat and adjustable footrest.
No maker's label, indistinct impressed mark to centre stretcher. Lower stretcher broken. Some signs of historic worm (treated). Back and foot panels have been replaced, the footrest panel being loose at the lower end. Loose joint in the bentwood decoration to left side of chair, and the joint at the lower edge of the backrest is opening.
