19th century brass ship's bell from the Ithuriel 1856, mounted on brass and wood stand, overall height 48cm, bell diameter 17cm, the Ithuriel was built in Canada in 1855, a wooden barque made of hackmatack timber, transferred to Liverpool in 1856 and travelled between Liverpool and South America
