A pair of 17th century relief carved oak panels dated 1619, bearing the coats of arms of Thomas Howard Earl of Arundel and Surrey, and Alethea Talbot daughter and heir of Gilbert 7th early of Shrewsbury, thought to have been part of an over mantel originally installed in Sheffield Castle or Sheffield Manor, 55cm x 39cm each
Both panels have minor age related cracks but no breaks or repairs and both have a number of small holes on the edges from previous mountings
