A large George III silver 2-handled lidded trophy, with military presentation inscriptions for the Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment Second Volunteer Battalion, presented by the Field Officers of the Battalion as a Challenge Cup for Company competition in drill, inscription dates from 1901 to 1937, by John Harvey I, hallmarks London 1780, height 50cm, 100oz
Both handles have 2cm splits beginning to open on inner edge, high points worn all over, trophy still heavy gauge, join marks visible on base of both handles which are probably original, inner lip of cover has a few dents but still fits body, hallmarks on base and rim are slightly rubbed
