A 19th century artist's workbox, mahogany with tulip wood crossbanding, the hinged lid with a painted panel depicting Selene in her chariot, the interior of the lid decorated with marbled paper, original fitted tray with glass mixing bowls, alabaster palette and 16 miniature paint bottles, the base fitted with a drawer with retailer's label for Grandcher Paris, width 31cm, depth 28cm, height 12.5cm
All in very good original condition, a very slight veneer split in the right-hand side of the top of the lid, no other damage or repairs
