A Victorian papier mache writing box with carrying handle, allover hand painted and mother-of-pearl inlaid floral decoration with gilding, 2 hinged lids enclosing inkwells and end drawer below, 24cm x 15cm, height excluding handle 10cm
Some surface wear, small sections of inlay missing, rubbing to gilding. Handle has been broken and re-glued, hinges have been replaced on one side, some splitting around replacement hinges. Small sections of base chipped off.
