An Antique Victorian Emerald and Diamond Cluster Ring,
the marquise-shaped panel centrally claw set with a rectangular step-cut emerald of approximately 0.70 carats, surrounded by old and transitional-cut diamonds, the diamonds totalling approximately 0.80 carats, unmarked mount tests as 18ct yellow gold size N, 2.6g
The emerald is a vivid green, with obvious typical internal inclusions and a few small surface nicks. The diamonds are relatively bright and lively, each with a few small inclusions only visible through a loupe, and several have been replaced. The mount has general surface wear commensurate with age and use. Overall in good condition.
