An Aquamarine and Diamond Brooch,
circa 1950s, set with an elongated octagonal step cut aquamarine weighing approximately 20.00 carats, flanked either side by floral sprays set with round brilliant and baguette cut diamonds, the diamonds totalling approximately 1.50 carats, unmarked mount tests as platinum, 50.2mm, 16.1g
The aquamarine is a strong even blue colour with a few miniscule table facet edge nicks and one table facet abrasion, a few small internal rain inclusions only visible through a loupe. The diamonds are very bright and lively. The mount has light surface wear and abrasions. Overall in very good condition.
