*DESCRIPTION CHANGE* An 18th century yew wood and elm-seated Windsor kitchen chair, with crinoline stretcher
This is probably an 18th century Windsor chair, constructed with an elm seat and yew wood back and legs. Some signs of old wood worm, particularly to the seat. The raised shaped back has had a couple of spliced repairs and some of the spindles have natural splits running through it. The spindles and legs would appear to have had a lacquer finish which has all over wear.
