An Edwardian polished blue agate and silver inkwell desk stand, with removeable cut-glass silver-mounted inkwell, reeded and pierced floral silver border with swag feet and main thick agate slice body, by George Fox, hallmarks London 1903, base length 17.5cm
Inkwell has a large conchoidal chip on either shoulder, a chip on the inside rim and a few fractures, a small part of the raised silver inkwell frieze is broken and missing, no other obvious losses or repairs, agate in very good condition, no obvious chips or abrasions, only small natural internal flaws, silver strapwork on the underside has a personalised engraving, all rivets present, hallmarks slightly rubbed but still clear
