A late Victorian British Royal Navy Officer's short sword, with a shagreen handle and lion mask mount and shaped guard, with leather scabbard, length 59cm, blade length 45.5cm

Sword is in well used condition, the blade is very rusty and worn, the edge has some loss, there is some engraved decoration but very difficult to see underneath all the rust, handle is not damaged but just showing signs of wear, scabbard is split all the way down the seam and the bottom point is missing, some cracking and visible water damage with some loss of the leather, mounts again just worn
