A 19th century 18ct gold cased open-face keywind pocket watch, by Peter Cattaneo of Croydon, engine-turned and engraved dial with applied gold Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and tri-colour gold floral border with engine turned case, 18ct dust cover and foliate engraved balance cock, case makers marks RB GM, indistinct hallmarks, movement no. 40224, case width 47mm, working order, 91.4g gross
Very good overall condition, working order, dial and glass have minor surface abrasions all over, some of the numerals on the sub dial are rubbed, the case is worn on the edge high points and lightly abraded, hallmarks on outer case are very rubbed, hallmarks on dust cover are clear, stamped 18.
