A mid-19th century Chinese export silver mug, by Houcheong of Canton, tapered cylindrical form with relief embossed and chased mythological flood sea creature battle with Eight Immortals fighting from auspicious wispy clouds and temples, dragon handle, pseudo-English hallmarks on base, maker's mark HCG, height 11.5cm, 14.6oz

No obvious damage, general wear to high points commensurate with age and use, mug is still heavy gauge, there is one small hole on the seam join of the dragon's head of the handle, cartouche has engraved intials, a few minor dents on the base, hallmarks are clear.
