A large Antique 9ct rose gold opal 'Heart and Arrow' brooch, maker G&SA, set with heart cabochon white opal measuring approx: 19.55 x 19.78 x 4.18mm, brooch 73mm, 8.6g
Opal has a good and quite even play of colour, displaying reds blues yellows and greens, light surface abrasions all over, bottom tip has a tiny chip, opal has several internal crazing/hairline fracture marks which are more visible from the backing, very slight cloudiness to opal in centre, light wear to high points of settings, brooch hook fitting has been re-soldered, fitting still working, no safety chain, stamped 9c
