A 19th century Chinese rhinoceros horn full tip cup, carved and pierced all over with Oriental figures, exotic birds and plants, the top section detached from the lower half, on original carved and pierced hardwood foliate stand, overall height including stand 58cm, horn length 36cm, horn weight 695g (A/F)

The horn is presently in two separate sections, with signs of several pieces broken around the outside edge of the cup, no other chips or breaks along the length, the stand seems to be the original and is in good condition. Please note that rhino horn is a restricted item, and cannot be exported outside the UK, although legal to sell in the UK and does not require CITES certification, item not held on premises and viewing strictly by appointment only
