A Louis XIV design Bureau Mazarin or pedestal desk, ebonised and inlaid all over with geometric line design, having two banks of 3 drawers and a single frieze drawer, the reverse with a similar arrangement of faux drawers. The 8 legs joined in fours by shaped platform stretchers. The leather inset top with chased brass edge. The locks stamped to the inside Ct.Linke, Paris for Clement Linke, brother and main supplier of locks for Francois Linke. Late 19th Century. Height 76cm, Length 163cm, Width 81cm
