A rich trove of ephemera relating to women in the theatre from the Victorian era into the mid-twentieth century, tending towards the former period to include programmes, prints, photographs, playbills, cuttings and autographs as well as other ephemeral items. Amongst the material are items relating to Vesta Tilley; a revue programme signed by, amongst others, Ella Shields, the male impersonator; programmes for 'Lady Precious Stream' (the first European production of a traditional Chinese drama by People's National Theatre with five letters from Nancy Price, [1880-1970] Director of the PNT; a photo by the photographer E.O.Hoppe of the
