A large quantity (c.135 photographs) of cabinet photographs of Victorian actors, almost all identified and held within a concertina folder. A handful of the photographs have been cut from albums. A marvellous archive of lesser-known figures from the Victorian stage, which would fill in gaps in many collections. Around a third (c. 50) are signed; others bear the names written on the photograph or on the verso, which might be signatures or someone simply identifying them.
