Kathe Strenitz (1923-2017), pencil on paper, Female Nude, 41cm x 29cm, mounted, glazed and framed. Born in Czechoslovakia, Strenitz moved to England in 1939 at 16
as a Jewish Kindertransport refugee from the Nazis. She never saw her parents or any of her family again, as they all died in concentration camps. Her work was championed by Oscar Kokoschka and is in the collections of the National Museum of Wales, The London Metropolitan Archive and the Museum of London. Provenance –
