An Anglo-Moorish chair with inlaid ivory detail throughout. This item has been registered as exempt from the UK Ivory Act 2018 on account of it being made before 3rd March 1947 with less than 10% ivory by volume. Ivory declaration submission reference 9GERLGYT.
Crude repair of left-hand upright of chair back. This has been nailed together, and there are some pieces of timber missing. Various use related scratches and marks. Small tear to leather on top rail. Leather upholstery on back panel appears to have been replaced.
Provenance - placed into auction by a local vendor who has possessed for many years, nothing further unfortunately.
