"Aegasteroceras", a Jurassic period ammonite, skinned and polished, the inner whorls of a large ammonite, rusty/horn colour, also greeny-white, sawn base through the outer whorls, Lower Lias, Sinemurian Stage, Frodingham Ironstone, Conesby Quarry, Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, height 16cm.
Diameter of ammonite 13.5cm . Good overall as found condition. Natural flaws. Crystallising to cut side. Ammonite has not been worked.
