Erotica / Erotic Art: Chinese Shunga. A folding pillow book which when unfolded depicts five different erotic scenes. All highly detailed. The literal translation being “images of the spring palace”. A poetic ancient name for these antique erotic works. The males portrayed have the typical queue or cue hairstyle worn by the Jurchen and Manchu peoples of Manchuria, and later required to be worn by male subjects of Quing China.
Pages are generally good with just a few small tears and crease marks, probably not of any great age
