A Georgian oval mourning brooch, unmarked gold settings, with lattice woven hair panel and applied gold initials, with inscribed backing dated 1796, brooch length 30.1mm, 4.6g
Brooch fitting has been renewed with obvious signs of solder, 1 part of the lattice hairwork has been slightly disturbed, settings lightly abraded, brooch fitting working, unmarked. Glass has a couple of tiny nibbles around edge but no chips or cracks, name on back appears to be Burnan, brooch fitting working although it has been replaced, settings untested
