Ian Norbury, superb quality lime wood carving, Merlin, seated at a table and holding skull and cat, a toad on the table morphing into another creature, the oak base having a 4-dial combination locking system which encloses a brass cylinder hiding a scroll with pictures and further information on this sculpture, base dimensions 53cm x 25cm, height 36cm, together with various brochures and paperwork including progress photos of this carving from a single block of lime wood, several pages of instructions on the combination mechanism and magazine articles where the artist states that this is the most difficult and complex carving I have ever undertaken

The worm which the bird is pulling from the flagstones under the table is broken, also the tip of the feather quill tucked under the book seems to be broken at the tip otherwise all in perfect and original condition
