A pair of Chinese polished bronze grotesque 3-legged toad incense burners/censers, possibly 19th century, on carved and pierced fitted Hongmu stands, toad length 23cm, height including stand 20cm (2)
From a local private house where they have been owned for at least the last 50 years. Bronzes have a nice patina and probably would originally have had covers, no obvious damage to bronze, no holes, both unmarked, 1 stand has a small section missing on the front base, otherwise both have a few splits but are still stable
