An 18th century brass and tortoiseshell pair-cased open-face key-wind verge pocket watch, by Henry Sedgwick of London, white enamel dial with Roman numeral hour markers, breguet hands, pierced and engraved balance cock with cylindrical columns, movement no. 2311, outer case width 52mm, not currently working

Movement – not currently working and only ticks for a few seconds before grounding to a halt
Dial - 1 large hairline crack between 4 and 8 with several other smaller surface abrasions
Glass - tinted yellow, general wear
Hands - minute hand tip is broken off
Case - watch is slightly loosed when held inside outer case, tortoiseshell has several losses and cracks mainly near hinge and push-button, inner case hinge has 1 broken loop, brass is worn and tarnished
