An impressive 19th century black slate Empire style mantel clock, of break-front form, 8-day striking movement with visible escapement and Roman numerals, repousse decorated panelled sides, surmounted by a lion, sitting on a brass tapered base, H45cm (no key or pendulum)

No key or pendulum, so unable to test. Lion is loose on base, as such surface scratches on top of base. Lion itself is in good condition. Minor chips and scratches all over. Felt base has come away.
