A large antique copper lidded beer jug with brass mount, banding and inscription. H - 35cm.
Inscription reads - I AM YE OLD JOLLY DECANTER BEARING DATE 1610, PRAY SIRS, DRINK ME OF WITHOUT BANTER, TAKE COURAGE AND FILL ME AGAIN (my belly is great, my mouth it is small, if you fill me too often, I shall fuddle you all).
Nice overall condition, the hinged lid has been replaced. General surface scratched, dent and marks.
