*Description Change* A late 19th century French 8 day quarter repeater carriage clock by Roblin & Fils Frere, Paris No 943, in ornate gilt brass case, repeat movement with alarm, number and makers stamp to back plate, case height 14cm

More Information

Clock has been overwound, top right of dial has been chipped and restored, some rubbing to case, key not original to clock.

(22/07/24) To the best of our knowledge, this is a quarter repeater carriage clock, not a Grande Sonnerie. The clock currently does not strike at all, either from turning the hands or pressing the repeat button. The balance wheel oscillates for a few seconds but does not engage with the escape wheel.
